Huge Gas Turbine Headed To GRDA's Chouteau Plant

<p>Oklahoma will soon be the home of the largest gas turbine in the world.&nbsp;The GRDA will use the turbine&nbsp;at its generating station near Chouteau as it moves from burning coal to natural gas.</p>

Oklahoma will soon be the home of the largest gas turbine in the world.  

On Monday, Osage SkyNews 6 HD flew over the turbine traveling up the Verdigris River to the Port of Catoosa.

The Grand River Dam Authority will use the turbine at its generating station near Chouteau as it moves from burning coal to natural gas. It was manufactured in Savannah, Georgia.

The GRDA has planned a ceremony at the plant for the turbine's arrival Wednesday afternoon.
