The trial of a Tulsa murder suspect has adjourned for the day due to a medical issue with one of the attorneys in the case. The judge adjourned the trial because of a defense attorney's emergency.

Defendant James Poore's girlfriend testified earlier Monday in the quadruple Fairmont Terrace murder trial. Poore is accused of murdering four women at the apartment complex back in 2013.

Jamilla Jones was given immunity for her testimony.

James Poore and his brother Cedric Poore are charged with the murders of  Rebeika Powell, her twin sister, Kayetie Melchor, Misty Nunley, and Julie Jackson.

Jones testified she was mad at one of victims for accusing her of stealing. She told her boyfriend James how angry she was, and that's when she said James and his brother Cedric decided to "hit a lick," or rob them.

Jones testified that the men left her apartment, and when they returned they had items belonging to one of the victims including jewelry, drugs and a food stamps card.

She also admitted she initially told police a man known as Suave did killed the women. That is a man who allegedly sold drugs to the victims. Jones said she lied to police because she was scared.

James Poore's attorney said in an opening statement that he believes Suave actually committed the murders because two of the victims owed him money.

Jones isn't done testifying, but because the court had to be adjourned, they'll start again Tuesday morning.
