Broken Arrow Police arrested a pharmacy tech for the theft of medication on Tuesday.

Police said the tech, Benjamin Parsons of Broken Arrow, was taken into custody after employees at the Walmart store in the 2300 block of West Kenosha caught him on video putting pills into his pocket while filling prescriptions.

They believe he took 130 pills of Alprazolam and 514 pills of Zolpidem in February and March. Alprazolam is also known as Xanax, and Zolpidem is the generic form of Ambien.

Parsons, 19, was booked into the Tulsa County jail on an embezzlement complaint. Jail records show he has a March 15 court appearance set.
