First responders are on the scene of a rollover crash involving a church bus near the I-35 and I-240 junction in south Oklahoma City, Friday evening.
The bus, which belonged to the First Baptist Church in Midwest City, was driving from westbound I-240 to southbound I-35 when it rolled on the transition ramp. No other vehicles were involved. Authorities have shut down that exit while crews work the scene.
In all 11 people were on-board the bus, 12 counting the driver. Two teenagers were transported from the scene via ambulance in unknown condition.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers, the driver said he did not think the roads were as slick as they were, over-corrected on the exit and rolled the bus on its side. The driver said the group was on the way to a church function.
