An artist returned home to Oklahoma to work on a project that’s taking her to every county in the state.
Leslie Martin is using the unique weather here to showcase natural beauty.
“I have used sheets of 20 miles gauge steel to cut out the shape of each county in Oklahoma, and piece them together against a plate that creates a sculpture of the state of Oklahoma,” she said.
“I wanted to see the visual representation of what the weather literally does to each county, and so by having this little version versus a county we can see that play out.”
Martin said she'll have planted a stake in each county by next Wednesday.
