Out of approximately 50 applicants, six organizations were chosen to receive money from the Tulsa Federal Credit Union Tulsa Run.

Every organization that applied was required to be non-profit and chartered in the state of Oklahoma.

The beneficiaries were chosen by a committee and will receive one of two levels of support.

The winner of the $25,000 award is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma, and winners of the $1,000 awards are 501tech, Clarehouse, Emergency Infant Services, Pets Helping People doing business as Muddy Paws, and River Parks Authority.

“It is a true testament of how unique this event is to our community by the commitment, the loyal volunteers, and devoted runners have towards its strong history and mission,” said Tulsa Federal Credit Union President Greg Gallant. “It is through the philanthropic component of this event that we could establish a perfect partnership that achieves our mission to make a difference by being a positive force in the communities we serve. Kudos to the Visit Tulsa, Tulsa Sports Commission leadership for preserving the run’s legacy.”

Each of the listed organizations will receive a check for its reward amount at the end of the run on October 29, 2016.
