TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police say a bicycle rider was hit by a pickup truck near 53rd and Peoria Friday evening and the driver kept going.

The incident happened at about 5:20 p.m.

Witnesses told police the bicycle rider was southbound in the northbound lanes when a Ford F-150 hit the rider. They said the truck driver tried to avoid the bicycle and rider but couldn't, then didn't stop.

EMSA transported the rider to a hospital but would not release the condition. Police did not release the riders name.
