Tulsa Church To Fill Gap For Those Released From Jail

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

A Tulsa church says it is addressing a crucial need for those being released from the Tulsa County jail with its Gap Pack program.

Each year, the sheriff's office says 3,000 people are released from custody.  Many have nothing to take with them.

All Souls Unitarian Church has partnered with the sheriff's office to hand out some basic need items.  Each Gap Pack contains hygiene products, non-perishable foods, and other amenities.  Each person released will get a pack.

Melissa Baldwin with All Souls Unitarian Church along with other volunteers delivered the Gap Packs to the jail Wednesday morning.
