Catoosa's Pecan Porch Chapel Standing Despite Tornado Damage To Restaurant

<p>The Pecan Porch, a local favorite catering service and wedding venue, received heavy tornado damage. Weddings&nbsp;can go on this weekend, though, since the owners say its intact.</p>

A storm system that swept through the north Tulsa and Owasso area then moved east into the Catoosa area, leaving a trail of damage. 

One area in Catoosa that shows heavy damage centers around Highway 266 and Shady Lane.Contents of damaged buildings are scattered across fields and hanging from trees.

The Pecan Porch, a local favorite catering service and wedding venue, received heavy damage. The owners say no one was hurt.

Amazingly, the chapel wasn't damaged. The restaurant and outdoor buildings have damage, but they will be able to continue with weddings this weekend, the owners said.

Verdigris Valley Electric Cooperative crews restored power to the Pecan Porch.

The Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team has also been driving around, assessing damage. They said they have thousands of volunteers ready to respond and are working to evaluate what places need help first.

Members of the First Baptist Church in Claremore and other volunteers are help clean up the area.
