Investigators Seek Second Suspect In Washington County Homicide

Investigators are searching for a second suspect connected to a Washington County homicide.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, they’re searching for 21-year-old Derek Marcus May Hamblin. He’s wanted for first-degree murder in the death of Kyler Holeman.

Hamblin is described as a white male, around 6-feet tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. Investigators said they don’t know if Hamblin is armed but believe he is scared, nervous and dangerous.

Holeman’s body was found near the intersection of East Adams Boulevard and North 4000 Road on March 31, 2016.

Through their investigation, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said they learned Holeman’s death was violent and the attack on him was sudden and unexpected.

One person has already been booked in the case, 21-year-old Scott Offutt.
