OSBI Agents are investigating following a fatal officer-involved shooting in Comanche County.

Just before midnight Friday, April 15, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office received a call in regards to a suicidal man at a home in the 300 block of SW Whitetail, in Cache.

Upon arrival, officers located 52-year-old David Swatsky in his bedroom holding a hand gun, threatening to shoot any law enforcement. Officers talked him out of the bedroom, but he refused to put down the gun and was pointing it at officers.

An officer fired one shot at Swatsky after he started to walk toward officers with the gun pointed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

OSBI agents were immediately called in to investigate. They will provide the DA with a detailed report once the investigation is complete.

At this time, the name of the officer has not been released.
