Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett continues to hold out hope that Williams Companies will remain in Tulsa. He, Governor Mary Fallin and chamber of commerce leaders met with the board chairman in New York last Friday.
Bartlett said they wanted to talk to board members who have to make the final recommendation to Williams shareholders on whether to move the company headquarters to Dallas.
That move would cost Tulsa around 1,000 jobs. A decision by the board is expected in May or June.
