From time to time you will hear Kevin Durant say "It's a miss or make league." He's right, and the the bad part of that statement happened Monday night on his home floor. Who saw this coming?

The Mavericks took their shooting woes in game one (29.8%) and handed them right over to Oklahoma City in game two (33.7%). The high-scoring Thunder were handcuffed tremendously by poor shooting. A high-scoring quarter didn't exist for the Thunder. A 23-point second quarter turned out to be the highest output Oklahoma City could stir up in the game.

Durant could never get on track in the game two, at one point in the second half  he missed consecutive jumpers on the same possession.  At times he looked like he was forcing the shot too much. Did he shoot too much? I say let him keep shooting and eventually it's going to drop in, but that wasn't the case very often. Durant finished 7 of 33 from the field, including nine misses from behind the arc.

So it won't be a sweep and Dallas heads home with some momentum and possibly a healthier J.J. Barea (strained groin) for Game 3, although that's a tough injury to shake off in a short amount of time. The toughest pill to swallow for Thunder fans?  Dallas played short-handed Monday night and still managed to win.

Oklahoma City has played well in the white short-sleeved jerseys, but Monday's performance may put that look into hibernation. Dallas ties the series at 1-1, with game three Thursday night 6 p.m. at American Airlines Center.

Would anybody be surprised if Kevin plays lights out Thursday night in game three?
