Grill Falls On Tulsa Girl, Critically Injuring Her

A 6-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a grill fell on her at a Tulsa apartment complex.  Tulsa police said she was playing in the courtyard of the apartment complex when the grill fell, pinning her to the ground.

Authorities don't know how long she lay injured before a resident spotted her. He ran to help and removed the grill, taking the girl to a nearby apartment, according to police.

Witnesses started CPR on the girl who police said had stopped breathing. Officers and EMSA took over when they got to the scene.

The child was transported to pediatric intensive care, records show.
