Vinita Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist was killed when he ran off the highway and hit a cable barrier just outside Tahlequah Tuesday. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the crash took place on southbound Highway 10 in Cherokee County.

Dakota Lamountain of Vinita was about three miles north of town when his 2013 Kawasaki failed to make a curve and ran off the road at 3:15 p.m. Lamountain, 20, was driving at an unsafe speed, according to troopers.

OHP said he was wearing a helmet and was in apparently normal condition before the wreck.
