Police Find Meth, $24K In Cash During McAlester Traffic Stop

McAlester Police arrested two people after finding meth and a large amount of cash during a traffic stop late Tuesday.

Police said officers pulled over a 2001 Chevy truck at about 10:20 p.m. and arrested the driver, Denty Eric Christman, 49, of McAlester and a passenger, Billy Jean Mitchell, 32, of Haileyville.

Inside the truck, police said officers found three grams of methamphetamine and over $24,000 in cash.  

Both were booked into the Pittsburg County jail.
