OHP: Small Airplane Crashes Near Pogue Airport In Osage County

OHP says a single-engine airplane crashed just after take off near Pogue airport north of Sand Springs.

Troopers said the crash of the small plane occurred in Osage County north of Pogue Airport. One person was on board, according to OHP.

Sources say the engine may have failed, cutting off power to the aircraft. The pilot has been taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The plane is a Mooney M20C registered to a Tulsa physician.
