The City of Tulsa says traffic on a section of South Utica will be restricted until mid-June for a street rehabilitation project.

Officials say there will be only be one lane in each direction of Utica open between 20th and 22nd streets for the rehab project at the 21st and Utica intersection.

This work is part of a $9,392,000 project in progress on East 21st Street between Peoria Avenue and Lewis Avenue.

Construction work will include new pavement, new waterlines, new storm sewers and sanitary sewers as well as new curb, gutter and sidewalks.

In addition, the city says it will replace the traffic signals in the area.

The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2017, but the city says construction near Utica Square will stop during holidays in November and December.

Officials say the project is funded by the 2008 Third Penny Sales Tax.
