Tuesday, a man found guilty in a 2010 murder trial was sentenced to life without parole in LeFlore County.

Friday, April 29, a jury found Elvis Thacker guilty for the murder of Briana Ault.

Ault was reported missing from Fort Smith, Arkansas in 2010. She was later found, naked with her throat cut, in a pond in Pocola, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Elvis and his brother, Johnathen Thacker, quickly became suspects.

They said Johnathen pled guilty to first-degree murder, received life in prison and agreed to testify for the prosecution.

In addition to life without parole, a jury also sentenced Elvis Thacker to 20 years for forcible sodomy.
