Oklahoma scored in each of the first four innings and cruised to a 12-3 win over Oral Roberts Tuesday night at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman. It marked the first win over ORU for the Sooners since 2013.

Oklahoma freshman starter Dylan Grove (1-0) took a no-hitter to the sixth inning before Matt Whatley singled to center field to end the bid.

The Golden Eagles (26-16) got on the board in the eighth inning after Chase Stafford led off the inning with a single. He would later score from third on an RBI groundout from pinch-hitter Sam Grellner. ORU would tack on two more after an error in shallow left field.

ORU used seven total pitchers on the night in a scheduled staff start but had to go to the bullpen early after the Sooners jumped on top of southpaw Trevor McCutchin to start the contest. OU went for three base hits and a pair of walks in the first on their way to a four-run inning. McCutchin, a Claremore, Oklahoma native falls to 2-2 on the season in the loss.

Oklahoma (22-22-1) continued to attack the Golden Eagle bullpen, getting a pair of home runs, including a grand slam from Domenic DeRenzo who led the Sooners with a 2-for-3 performance to go with five RBI.

Korbin Polly continued to impress after making his second appearance in the last week. The freshman went two innings and did not allow a run while giving up a pair of hits.

Kyler Stout, Nathan Garza, and Holden Cammack also pitched an inning apiece and did not allow a run in their outings.
