The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals has upheld the life prison sentence of a 39-year-old Claremore man who was convicted of strangling a woman and throwing her body off a highway bridge.

The court handed down the ruling Wednesday in the case of Vance Wright, who was convicted in Rogers County of first-degree murder in the death of 27-year-old Kelsey Bray.

Bray's decomposed body was discovered by a mowing crew in October 2011 under a bridge on the Will Rogers Turnpike in Rogers County.

Among other things, the court rejected Wright's claim of insufficient evidence.
