SUV Hits Child In Tulsa Apartment Parking Lot, Driver Jailed

Police booked a man into the Tulsa County jail after they said he struck a 3-year-old girl with his SUV at a Tulsa apartment complex, then drove off.

Officers said it happened just before 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of South 116th East Avenue at the Village East apartments.

Police said Almaquer Orozco stopped and help the parents pull the girl out from under his white Nissan Xterra before driving away. 

They said the Orozco showed later at the scene of the incident and was arrested.

Police said the girl, which was taken to a Tulsa hospital is expected to be OK.
