Another Oklahoma school is cutting jobs due to financial issues.
Tuesday, Tulsa Community College confirmed it will be eliminating 15 full-time and 15 part-time positions.
School officials said the staff positions being cut are “non-faculty” but have not officially said where the cuts will have an impact.
They said they will offer tuition for retraining, outplacement services, employee assistance program support and several packages for those impacted by the job reductions.
The school said, in the last two years 184 positions have been eliminated through attrition, retirees, and reductions in adjunct employees through “section management.”
Officials said the move was made in response to three state budget failures, as well as cuts for the 2017 fiscal year.
