High School Baseball State Tournament Begins

The Oklahoma high school baseball state tournament begins Thursday.

Class 6A

In Class 6A, Owasso hopes to repeat as the champion. The Rams play Edmond Memorial at the University of Oklahoma.

The other teams in the tournament are Jenks, Westmoore, Stillwater, Yukon, Edmond Deer Creek and Norman North.

The 6A championship game will be played at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Saturday at 12:05 p.m.

Class 5A

In 5A, the tournament will take place in Yukon. Play begins with Bishop Kelley playing Duncan, then Skiatook against Piedmont, then Pryor versus El Reno followed by Tahlequah against Shawnee. 

The 5A championship game will be played Saturday at 4 p.m. at Yukon High School.

Class 4A

In 4A, the tournament begins at Edmond Santa Fe with Blanchard playing Harrah, followed by Bethany playing Berryhill, then Oologah against Heritage Hall and Tuttle versus Poteau.

The 4A championship game will be played Saturday at 4 p.m. at Edmond Santa Fe.

Class 3A

In Class 3A, play begins with Verdigris taking on Perkins-Tryon, followed by Salina against Stigler, then Metro Christian playing Lincoln Christian, followed by Kingston versus Beggs. That tournament is being played at Edmond Memorial.

The championship game will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Edmond Memorial.

Class 2A

The Class 2A, the championship tournament is being played at Shawnee High School.

Play begins with Tushka against Dale, followed by Christian Heritage against Preston, then Silo versus Hartshorne followed by Wister against Oktaha. 

The 2A championship game will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shawnee High School.
