Oklahoma State's Brad Lundblade has been named to the 2016 Spring Watch List for the Rimington Trophy, the Rimington Trophy committee announced Tuesday.

The award is given annually to the top center in FBS college football, and the spring watch list includes top centers from across the country who were nominated for the recognition.

A one-time walk-on, Lundblade was put on scholarship prior to the opening of 2015 fall camp and started every game of the 2015 season. He was honored last year as a first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree and a first-team selection to the CoSIDA Academic All-District squad. During his freshman season in 2014, Lundblade walked on as a late addition and played significant reps in the last seven games of the season, earning his first career start at Baylor.

Lundblade is one of 57 players on the spring watch list and is one of seven players from the Big 12 Conference.

The Remington Trophy committee uses the All-America teams from the Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News and Football Writers Association of America to determine the winner of the trophy. The center with the most first team votes will be determined the winner. If there is a tie with first team votes, then the center with the most second team votes will win. If there is still a tie, the winner will be determined by a majority vote from the Rimington Trophy committee. The winner will be recognized at the Rimington Trophy Presentation at the Rococo Theatre in Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017.
