Authorities have suspended a search at Canton Lake Wednesday for possible evidence in the 2015 murder of an 18-year-old.

According to authorities, agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s dive team were searching Canton Lake for possible evidence in the murder of Caylee Massey. It is unclear at this time if they have found any evidence.

Massey was killed after picking up a hitchhiker on a drive from Oklahoma City to Canton in October, 2015.

Investigators said Massey and another man were in a red pickup and they picked up 23-year-old Christopher Blake Scruggs as a hitchhiker.

Police said Caylee was killed and Scruggs took off.
