BA Police: Red Light Runner Arrested For Drugs, Kids Not Restrained

Broken Arrow Police say running a red light landed a woman in jail for drugs, driving with a suspended license and not restraining four small children in her car.

Police said they arrested Zoe Hilliard, 23, late Tuesday night after an officer saw her run a red light at Elm and Kenosha. When the officer approached her Chrysler Sebring, he saw four children ages three and under not properly restrained, he wrote. 

According to his arrest report, the 3-year-old was in the front passenger seat without any kind of restraint, a 2-year-old was sleeping in the rear driver side seat without any restraints and a 6-month-old and a 7-month-old were car seats but the seats weren't buckled into the car.

The  officer wrote Hilliard initially gave him someone else's name and birth date, later admitting that she was driving with a suspended license. He said he found a small amount of a crystal substance that tested positive for meth.

She told the officer the 6-month-old is her son and she was babysitting the other three children, according to the report.

The officer said police released the car and the children to friend of Hilliard's. Police booked her into jail on eight complaints, including driving under suspension, false personation and possession of drugs in the presence of a minor.
