Tulsa Police are looking for a person of interest in an assault and battery. They say it took place May 15 at the Walgreens at 15th and Lewis.

Police say a man went to the store around 8:45 a.m. and had an encounter with someone inside. Jose Emmanuel Vega, who said he is gay and Latino, found the man waiting for him outside in the parking lot, News On 6 partner The Frontier reported.

"The male in the white tank top yelled slurs about the victim's race and sexual orientation during the offense," Tulsa Police said in a news release. Vega told The Frontier he was wearing an Oklahomans for Equality T-shirt with a rainbow on it.

Police released photos of the man and say his vehicle appears to be a late '90s or early 2000s model Chevy Malibu with ending tag numbers VE. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
