Warm, breezy, and humid weather make a return for our Sunday, and get used to it – we’ve got plenty more where that came from!

Warm, moist air continues to surge north from the Gulf of Mexico today, which will help set the stage for several days of thunderstorm chances for the upcoming week as that humid air won't be leaving Oklahoma anytime soon.

As far our Sunday is concerned, temperatures will be pleasantly warm again by the afternoon with low 80s expected, which is pretty typical for this time of year. However, humidity is starting to climb into the uncomfortable range with dewpoint values in the upper 60s, so if you have plans to be out at Mayfest, the Blue Dome Festival, Hop Jam, or any other outdoor events, make sure you keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water!

Much like Saturday, we should be staying dry today. However, a very isolated pop-up storm may try to develop west of Tulsa closer to the I-35 corridor by late afternoon, and a few storms from western Oklahoma may move east into northeastern Oklahoma later tonight as well.

If that occurs, a few of those storms could linger into Monday morning, with additional storms possible Monday afternoon into Monday night across eastern Oklahoma.

Starting Monday, at least a few severe storms will be possible anytime storms form throughout the week.

It may not necessarily storm every single day this week, but the chances for scattered storms – some of which could become severe - will be there almost every day, so be prepared for multiple days of possible stormy weather. We don't look to have much of another cool-down anytime soon as that warm and humid air remains firmly in place.

Expect several days with lows in the 60s to near 70 and highs well into the 80s throughout the week, and similar warm, humid, and unsettled conditions may extend all the way into Memorial Day weekend as well. Just stay weather aware, and we’ll keep you advised!
