A Rogers County judge sentenced a couple in connection with the death of a 7-month-old child.

Crystal Hoglan was sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder and her boyfriend, Jimmy Legates, got a 20-year sentence for second-degree murder.

Prosecutors say their baby died under suspicious circumstances in 2014.

Investigators say they found drugs in the filthy home and two other children living there. Detectives say there was dirt on every surface and trash everywhere.

There was exposed wiring and no working plumbing.
