We have a chance for storms this afternoon and evening across Green Country on Friday.
A few locations have already seen shower activity but we are expecting more in the way of storms to develop during the later afternoon hours. We should start to see storms firing here in eastern Oklahoma by late afternoon.
While scattered storms develop on our side of the state, stronger storms will be developing along a dry line in western Oklahoma.
Based on visible satellite imagery, a cumulus field has developed over northwest and north central Oklahoma, indicating potential thunderstorm development.
Recent model guidance suggest storms that do develop along the dry line will make a run for eastern Oklahoma this evening, primarily northwest of the metro.
