Tree Falls On Tent Full Of Campers Near Tahlequah

A tree fell on a camper and temporarily trapped people along the Illinois River on Saturday evening.

The Tahlequah Daily Press first reported on its Facebook page that emergency responders were en route about 7:30 p.m.

Officials say none of the campers were hurt seriously, but one of them went to a hospital by private vehicle.

Storms are moving through northeastern Oklahoma and anyone outdoors is encouraged to be weather aware.
