Tulsa Police Investigate Shots Fired Call, Find Blood

Tulsa Police are investigating after someone reported hearing gunshots in the 9400 block of East 51st Street. Police were called to the Mingo Manor Apartments Tuesday morning. They didn't find anyone but said they did spot some blood.

Police then put out a notice to area hospitals to look out for a shooting victim, and they learned a man showed up at a Tulsa hospital with a gunshot wound.

Officer Leland Ashley said police went to interview the shooting victim who is not being very cooperative. He is a 24-year-old man who was shot in the leg. The wounded man said it happened as he was walking through the apartment complex parking lot - he heard a bang and realized he'd been shot, Ashley said.

The officer said there were also a couple of vehicles and businesses hit by gunfire.
