The American Athletic Conference announced the pairings for the 2016-17 men's basketball schedule, as well as the dates for the 2017 championship.

The league's 11 members will play an 18-game schedule. Each team will play eight of its 10 opponents twice, and the other two opponents once each, one at home and one away. The 2017 championship will be played March 9-12, 2017, at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

The University of Tulsa will play Cincinnati, East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, SMU, Tulane, UCF and USF both at home and on the road this upcoming season. Tulsa will play UConn and Temple only once in 2016-17.  The Golden Hurricane will host the UConn Huskies and go on the road to face the Temple Owls. Tulsa split the season series with UConn and Temple last year, each winning on their home floor.

Three American Athletic Conference teams that will each be visiting Tulsa in 2016-17 will have a new look with prominent first-year head coaches, including former Tulsa and Kentucky head coach Tubby Smith at Memphis, former Duke All-American Johnny Dawkins at UCF and 17-year NBA veteran head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr., at Tulane.

Last year, Tulsa's one-time opponents included Memphis and USF.

Game dates and times will be announced at a later date.
