A small earthquake rattled residents in Logan County, early Sunday morning.
The 3.1 magnitude temblor struck at 5:51 a.m., approximately four miles to the south of the town of Langston, or about 31 miles north northeast of the Oklahoma City metro area.
It was recorded at a depth of just more than four miles. There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with this quake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquake with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes of 4.0 and greater.
