The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 26-year-old man is in critical condition after jumping out of a moving car late Wednesday.

Troopers said the incident happened near a toll gate on the Muskogee Turnpike south of Muskogee just after 9 p.m.

Troopers said an argument broke out between the driver, Shanta Maldonado, 28, and passenger, Robert Baez, both of Muskogee with Baez jumping out of the southbound car.

The OHP said Baez suffered critical injuries to his arm, leg and head.  He was flown by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital.

Troopers are still investigating.
