A near drowning leaves a 1-year-old boy in the hospital. Tulsa officials said the boy was found in a pool around 9:30 Sunday night near East 11th Street and Highway 169.
When rescue workers arrived, the adults at the home were performing CPR on the child. After firefighters moved the boy to the patio to continue CPR on a hard surface, the boy started crying.
First responders helped clear his airways, and EMSA took him to the hospital.
He was breathing when taken to the hospital, according to Stan May, Public Information Officer at Tulsa Fire Department.
