A judge sentenced a woman to 25 years in prison for a DUI crash that killed a man in a vintage car last year.

Prosecutors said Whitney Wheeler, 42, was driving under the influence on June 21, 2015 when her 2007 Jeep Patriot hit a 1920 Ford touring car driven by Gregory Bush, 68, on 51st Street between Lewis and Harvard.

Officers at the scene said Wheeler was speeding westbound when her Jeep rear-ended Bush's Ford. Police said the crash caused Bush's Ford to rollover and the impact killed him.

Prosecutors charged Wheeler with four counts including 1st-degree manslaughter and DUI-great bodily injury.

She pleaded guilty in May and on Friday, July 1, 2016, a judge sentenced her to 30 years in prison, with five years suspended.

Wheeler will be eligible for judicial review of her sentence in June 2017.
