Tulsa County sheriff's deputies are looking two thieves who stole thousands of dollars in fireworks from a stand just north east of Owasso overnight.

The operator of the Jakes Fireworks stand near 106th Street North and Highway 169 say the two thieves broke into their tent stand twice and stole between $5,000 and $6,000 worth of fireworks.

The stand had a surveillance camera mounted inside the stand and captured photos of the two thieves.

It’s not what you want on the busiest sales weekend of the summer.

"They took all this; they just wiped this whole area out,” stand manager Derek Shiehing said.

The video goes on for two hours with the two young men going back and forth, taking box after box. They even cut open one of the tent flaps to get out.

Shiehing says when he walked into the stand Saturday morning, he knew something was wrong.

“It was really disappointing for us because there's a lot of work put into this,” he said. “We both have over 200 hours just now."

The thieves went straight for the large packs of fireworks, taking row after row when all of the sudden they realized they were being watched.

But that didn't stop them.

You can watch as the two realize there's a camera -- moments later -- coming back to cover it with a bag...

Then they go right back to work.

“They carried it out into the field over here and then they couldn't carry some of it, so they just set it down and it looks like they went back and forth,” Shiehing  said. “They were actually on camera. It looked like they were here until about 5 a.m. and then maybe got scared away."

Shiehing is now trying to get back on track, working the busiest weekend of the season and hoping the two are caught.

If you have any information, call authorities.
