Police: Armed Man Shot, Killed By Officer In Rush Springs

One person was shot and killed by an officer late Wednesday night in Grady County.

A domestic disturbance call in Rush Springs is what led to that officer-involved shooting. The Rush Springs Police Chief said just off Highway 17, a woman on scene told the officer the suspect had a gun behind his back. But the man refused to bring around his hands.

When he finally did, the chief said the man was holding a gun, and that's when the officer fired one shot.

The suspect's name has not been released.

The officer is now on administrative leave, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is now investigating.
