Nine Passengers Sick; Atlanta Flight Diverted To Tulsa
TULSA, Oklahoma - Officials say a commercial flight was diverted to Tulsa after about a dozen passengers became ill.
Delta flight 1817 left Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta for Denver on Saturday afternoon, but it landed in Tulsa before 3:30 p.m.
After 152 passengers were assessed at the airport, EMSA says nine showed symptoms of general illness and nausea. Those nine are being treated. Paramedics said one passenger was transported for an unrelated reason.
It is unclear whether all the affected passengers began their travels in Atlanta or elsewhere.
