TULSA, Oklahoma - Authorities arrested a man after he led Creek County deputies and Kiefer Police on a chase from their community to Tulsa early Tuesday.

Deputies said the chase started at about 1 a.m. when a police officer attempted to stop the car.  The driver took off heading north on Highway 75 and onto I-244.  After exiting at 33rd West Avenue and hitting a stop sign, the driver got out and ran off.  

After a short foot chase, deputies arrested the man.  During the chase, police said the man dropped a female passenger in Sapulpa.

It is unclear why the man ran from police.
