A Tulsa family is desperate for closure after their sister was murdered in March.

Tuesday they held a vigil, in hopes that someone would share information on the suspect's whereabouts.

Thomas’ family said they can't heal until he's caught.

Tuesday, Richard DeBerry stood still for a long time - watching the balloons released in his sister's memory fly away.

If he could say one thing to his sister, “Just to tell her I love her and I miss her."

Thomas died in March in her home on West 57th Street.

Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies say her boyfriend, 33-year-old Kelly, shot and killed her during an argument.

They said Kelly called 911 to report it, but when crews arrived he was gone.

Kelly has a long criminal record, including assault and battery with a deadly weapon and several illegal firearm possession charges.

Deputies said he drives a maroon 1992 Chevy Caprice.

Thomas’ daughter, Shamia, said, "Right now, every time we remember, it's like - well, where he is, when is he going to caught? So, this is our last piece."

The family knows the cemetery well, Thomas’ own daughter died in a car accident in 2006. They visit often, but that doesn't make grieving any easier.

They say they can't move on until an arrest is made.

DeBerry said, "That way, we can get some of this pain off of my family. It's hard right now, you know? It's really hard right now."

"That's the only thing we need right now, is just that one piece so we can get closure. We got past her being gone, now we just need to end it so we can be done with it," Shamia said.

There is a $1,500 reward for information leading to Kelly's arrest. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS, or the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office at 918-596-5601.
