Donald Trump is now officially the Republican party's presidential nominee. Despite losing the primary in our state, Trump received the majority of Oklahoma Delegates.

State GOP Chairman Pam Pollard announced the majority of our state's 43 delegates go to Donald Trump, despite Senator Ted Cruz winning the March 1 primary.

Only on News 9, Pollard explains that because Senator Marco Rubio did not receive "the majority of delegates in at least eight states" as required by the convention rules adopted Monday night. Rubio's delegates were free to vote for whomever they choose. So, all but three of Rubio's delegates voted for Trump.

While no Oklahoman spoke on stage on Tuesday, Oil man Harold Hamm is expected to speak on Wednesday.

Governor Mary Fallin is set to speak on Thursday before Donald Trump.
