Neighbors Look At Proposed Plans To Improve Kendall-Whittier District

The Tulsa Development Authority wants community input before adopting a new plan for the Kendall-Whittier District.

Wednesday, they hosted an open house at the Pancho Anaya Bakery, allowing Tulsans to ask questions or voice concerns about development in the area.

Plans for Kendall-Whittier haven't been updated for almost 20 years. City leaders say it's crucial to get the new plans in place for future development.

"Lifestyle changes, economic development, employment. Again, to make this area of town, and Tulsa, a more comprehensive place to live,” said OC Walker with TDA.

Residents had a chance to look at possible development plans for north Tulsa Tuesday.

A final draft will go before the city council and planning commission for final approval, but that could take up to six months.
