Tulsa Auto Theft, Burglary Suspect Arrested In Creek County

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Sapulpa Police chased and arrested a Tulsa man near Liberty Mounds early Saturday.  

Tulsa Police say the man was driving a stolen car out of Tulsa.  Officers said the car, a 2015 Nissan Versa was reported stolen early Friday from a parking lot in the 6100 block of East 41st Street.

At about 1:22 a.m. Saturday, police headed to a report of a violation of a protective order in the 2500 block of South Delaware near Lewis spotted the stolen car.  Officers attempted to stop it, but the driver took off, eventually getting on Interstate-44 headed west.

At about I-44 and 33rd West Avenue, police terminated the pursuit.

Police later determined the suspect, Noah Walbaum, 30, was suspected of being involved in burglary at an address in the 2500 block of South Delaware and was wanted on four outstanding warrants.

Sapulpa Police and OHP caught with Walbaum and booked him into the Creek County jail.
