TULSA, Oklahoma - Many of the top youth tumblers and trampolinists were on hand in Tulsa for the USA Gymnastics Stars and Stripes Championships.

Over 800 tumblers and jumpers from across the country competed in age groups ranging from seven to 14 in both tumbling and trampoline events.

And there was some Green Country representation as well.

Coach Chauncy Haydon of Bixby had some athletes in the competition from him and his brother's team the Oklahoma Extreme.

He says Oklahoma tumblers hold their own against the nation.

"We're getting bigger and bigger each year,” said Haydon. “Each year there's another gym popping up, getting bigger and faster. These Oklahoma gyms are placing within the top ten in the nation, so we're pushing for the local competitions and trying to etch it all out to where we can have one of the top gyms in the nation."
