Norman North point guard Trae Young is one of the best players in the nation, and the Oklahoma prep star is one step closer to making his college decision. Young took to Twitter on Wednesday to release the top six schools he's considering as he continues his recruitment.

Young, who's ranked the No. 14 player in the nation according to Rivals, listed Texas Tech, Kansas, Oklahoma, Washington, Oklahoma State and Kentucky as the finalists.

Seeing Young is from Norman, he's developed a great relationship with OU head coach Lon Kruger and the Sooner team, while it's clear he's keen to the idea of playing in the Big 12 with four of the six schools on his list coming from the conference. His Dad, Raymond, played at Texas Tech in the 1990s and is considered one of the better point guards in program history.

Young is being heavily courted by Kentucky, while his good friend and one of the nation's top recruits, Michael Porter Jr., recently committed to play at Washington shortly after his Dad was named an assistant coach for the Huskies.

UK, KU and OU are widely considered to be favorites to land Young, but with his senior year still ahead of him, who knows what the star prospect will decide.
