Tulsa Woman Held At Gunpoint In Home Invasion

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Three men are on the run after a Tulsa home invasion Monday morning. Police said they held a woman at gunpoint after she woke up to find the men in her home.

Officers said around 5 a.m., the men kicked in the front door of a couple's home in the 700 block of East 38th Street North. One of the men held a gun on the woman who lives there while the other two ransacked the house.

They finally left, and the woman was able to run to a neighbor's home for help. The men ripped the landlines out of her house and stole her cell phone, according to police.

They also stole surveillance cameras - after ripping out the lines to those.

Neighbor Sean Seaborough and his wife stopped by to repair the couple's door saying the community is always helping out each other.

"To a point where, 'hey, my weed eater's broken - can I use yours?'" he said. "I mean, this is the way it's supposed to be."

He said it's a quiet neighborhood, so it made him angry to see any crime.

"This thing couldn't been very ugly," Seaborough said.

Seaborough said his neighbors work too hard for what they own, and he's warning any future criminals that they're not going to take this lying down.

"People are tired of being victims to something they own," he said. "It's gonna end in the wrong way."

The victim is unharmed but very shaken up, police said.

We don't have suspect descriptions at this time, but police believe the men left in a blue car going south. If you know anything about this crime, call Tulsa police.
