The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says unsafe speed led to a single car crash southwest of Skiatook early Tuesday.

Troopers said the crash happened on Lake Road just north of Wells Drive in Osage County just after midnight.

The OHP report states a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Kyle Willis, 19, of Skiatook was eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the road, hit several trees, causing the car to catch fire.

Willis and a 15-year male passenger, also from Skiatook were taken to a Tulsa hospital with multiple injuries.
